31X85KFdesL._SS500_I love cooking in my slow cooker!  A few months back, a friend of mine shared this blog with me, and I’ve been trying recipes from it ever since.  I haven’t been disappointed yet!

Stephanie, the author of A Year of Crockpotting, took on a very unique challenge – to cook a new recipe with her crockpot every day of 2008.  Her blog documents each recipe attempt including cooking directions as well as an honest and witty recap of her family’s reaction.  Well, 2008 is over, and her challenge was successfully completed, but last year’s recipes are still avaliable and she’s still posting new recipes!

If you like slow cooking, or if you’re looking to try something new, check it out!  There are some pretty interesting finds – making fudge, pumpkin pudding, spiced nuts – in addition to the more traditional soups and roasts.  My favorites (so far, anyways) include the Chicken and Dumplings and the Salsa Chicken and Black Bean Soup.

If you try any recipes, let me know what you think!

Enjoy!
